Student consultants for real business work.
TASK exists to help growing businesses move forward while giving ambitious Texas A&M students the responsibility, mentorship, and community to become exceptional problem solvers.
Mission
Why TASK exists.
To empower the future of businesses and give students a hands-on, real-life consulting experience.
We believe students grow fastest when their work matters to someone beyond a classroom, and businesses benefit when motivated people bring fresh research, disciplined analysis, and the freedom to question assumptions. TASK was designed to create that exchange.
Our Story
From 2020 to today.
TASK was founded in 2020 as local businesses faced a period of extraordinary uncertainty. The organization began by helping owners navigate immediate challenges in marketing, customer acquisition, pricing, operations, and digital presence. What started as a response to disruption became a lasting model: student teams taking ownership of real business problems and delivering work that clients can act on.
Since then, TASK has expanded beyond its earliest local projects into engagements spanning consumer businesses, technology, robotics, biotechnology, education, logistics, and emerging ventures. The organization has retained its original purpose while raising the scale and ambition of the work.

Culture
Why TASK stays small and close-knit.
TASK intentionally keeps its membership limited. That means every person is staffed on meaningful work, leadership remains accessible, and members quickly know one another beyond titles and project meetings. The result is a club that operates with professional expectations but feels more like a large friend group than a résumé factory.
Members challenge one another, give direct feedback, travel together, prepare for recruiting together, and spend time together when no deliverable is due. That closeness is not separate from the work. It is what makes candid collaboration possible.

Team
Students from across Texas A&M.
TASK brings together students from business, engineering, computer science, finance, accounting, information systems, and other fields across Texas A&M. Project teams are built to combine analytical, technical, operational, and communication strengths rather than forcing every problem through one consulting template.
Member Development
How members build skills and industry access.
Client work is the center of TASK, but it is not the entire experience. Members practice case interviews, improve résumés and professional storytelling, hear from practitioners, build technical and business skills, and visit leading consulting firms through the annual TASK Trip. TASK also created Texas A&M’s first consulting career fair, connecting hundreds of students with industry professionals.
