Work with TASK
TASK pairs your business with a cross-disciplinary team of Texas A&M students who research the problem, challenge assumptions, and build practical recommendations, at no cost to your company.
Why TASK
A dedicated team, structured research, and a final deliverable.
TASK is designed for businesses that have a meaningful question, enough access to collaborate, and the willingness to let a student team investigate it deeply. We bring structured research, analytical capacity, technical and creative range, and the energy to explore opportunities that internal teams may not have bandwidth to pursue.
- No consulting fee
- Semester-long engagement
- Dedicated student project team
- Executive oversight
- Research-backed recommendations
- Final presentation and written deliverable
- Flexible scopes across strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and technology
Fit
Who we work best with.
TASK works best with startups, local businesses, growth-stage companies, and established organizations that can define a real business problem and stay engaged throughout the semester. The strongest projects have a clear decision to support, a responsive client contact, and enough information for the team to move beyond generic research.
Good fit
- A growth or market-entry question
- A pricing, financial, or operating decision
- A brand or digital-presence challenge
- A customer-research or segmentation need
- A process that needs to be understood and improved
- A new product, service, location, or channel to evaluate
Poor fit
- Work requiring licensed legal, tax, medical, or investment advice
- A client unable to meet or share basic context
- Pure execution with no analysis or decision-making component
- A scope requiring full-time delivery or guaranteed implementation outcomes

Questions
What to know before an engagement.
How much does a project cost?
TASK does not charge a consulting fee. We ask clients to invest time, context, and consistent communication so the team can produce work that is specific and useful.
How long is an engagement?
Most client projects run for one academic semester, from kickoff through final presentation and handoff.
When do projects begin?
TASK fields projects during the fall and spring semesters. Reach out early so the team can evaluate scope and staffing before the semester begins.
Who works on my project?
A project lead coordinates a small team of student consultants, with an executive team member providing oversight and support.
What will we receive?
Deliverables vary by scope and may include research, analysis, financial models, dashboards, strategy recommendations, marketing plans, process maps, website recommendations, presentations, and implementation roadmaps.
Do you implement the recommendations?
TASK’s core model is consulting and decision support. Some projects include prototypes or practical implementation materials, but implementation responsibilities are agreed during scoping.
What does TASK need from us?
A responsive client contact, access to relevant business context, honest feedback, and recurring check-ins. The quality of the outcome depends on the quality of collaboration.
Can TASK guarantee a business result?
No. TASK provides research and recommendations based on the information available. Business outcomes depend on execution, market conditions, and decisions made after the engagement.
