The Application
The written application is four short answers. If you are invited to interview, you present a take-home case, work through a critical-thinking question, and talk with members about how you work. The interview takes an hour at most.

The case
You receive the case before your interview, prepare on your own, and present your analysis in 15 minutes.
The sample case is TASK Bank, a regional bank modernizing its digital platforms to win back younger customers from fintechs.

Around forty-five people, one general meeting a week, socials through the semester, and a spring banquet. You know everyone by name, not just your project team.
Members visit consulting firms on the all-expenses-paid annual TASK Trip (Spring 2026 was Austin: Accenture, RSM, and BCG) and recruit at the consulting career fair TASK founded and still hosts for the whole campus, next on October 1 at the MSC.
TASK’s internal end-of-semester pitch event. Members develop an idea and pitch it to the whole org, a second round of practice at building an argument and presenting it under questions.
Member Experience
Members work in small project teams throughout the semester. Each consultant owns a defined workstream, contributes to client meetings and team discussions, and helps turn research into a coherent final recommendation. Outside the project, members attend general meetings, professional-development programming, and community events.
Time commitment
A weekly general meeting, a weekly team meeting, and independent work on your workstream. Projects run as a 10-week sprint with two client progress meetings and a final presentation.

Lead a client team for a semester, after your first one.
Committee track
Career fair promotion, social posts, and interview support for the year.
Strategy
Frame the problem and choose what to recommend.
Analytics
Build the model or the market sizing your workstream needs.

Beyond the Project
Two things outside client work that members point to most: the annual trip to visit firms in person, and the consulting career fair TASK founded and hosts for the whole campus each fall.
Every spring, members travel to visit consulting firms, all expenses paid. Spring 2026 was Austin, with 20 seats and visits to Accenture, RSM, and BCG.
Spring 2025 was Houston, March 20 to 21: a casing activity at Slalom, a networking lunch at Credera, a casing workshop at Simon-Kucher, and a visit to BCG.
Members apply for a seat. Every classification through PhD is eligible.
TASK founded the consulting career fair at Texas A&M and still hosts it. The next one is Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the MSC.
Last time, 11 firms and 21 recruiters came. Members work the fair and upload their resumes to Hire Aggies ahead of it.
